The objective of this session is to emphasize the critical importance of accelerating progress towards SDG 6 and ensure the ‘availability of safely managed drinking water for all” by 2030.

The discussion will focus on the opportunities for cities to overcome barriers to the implementation of Water-Smart systems to fast-track adaptions to climate change and rapid urbanisation. The session will call for a concerted effort among diverse stakeholders, including UN agencies, government bodies, civil society, and the private sector, to harness the SDG6 Global Acceleration Framework.
