Yet their full potential will only be realized by moving from individual projects to integrated, replicable programmes brought to scale, supported by coherent public policies, enabling regulatory frameworks and financing mechanisms capable of mobilizing public-private investment.

In the context of COP31 and the Water for Climate Pavilion, this side event will explore how Nature-based Solutions for water represent a powerful yet still under-recognized lever for climate resilience, deserving greater attention in climate policy and investment agendas. It will examine the policy and financing conditions needed to scale up proven solutions and unlock their full potential for people, nature and economies.

The discussion will bring together public, private and financial actors to explore the links between policy, investment and implementation, drawing on concrete cases of Nature-based Solutions for water stewardship to identify policy recommendations to move from individual projects to scale.
