A collaboration between CNN’s global gender inequality reporting team, As Equals, and CNN Photos set out to show, from seven countries in the Global South, just how climate change-fuelled extreme weather events are compounding existing gender inequalities. Each assignment captures not just the human stories behind the statistics about loss and damage but also shows women and girls’ resilience and their determination to survive. The resulting photographs are being exhibited in part in the Water Pavilion, and in the Green Zone where an 8-chapter installation can be viewed by the public.
