Panel discussionUrban Water Resilience

Water for Climate Pavilion

One Water: Building Climate-Resilient Infrastructure through Water, Sanitation and Subsurface Intelligence

Water resilience is at the core of climate adaptation, yet cities, utilities, and industries continue to face mounting risks from droughts, floods, groundwater depletion, and extreme weather. Building resilience requires an integrated view of the entire urban water cycle—both above and below ground.

TIME & PLACE

November 11, 11:45 - 12:45 | Water for Climate Pavilion

ORGANISERSBentley

This session will explore how digital twins, predictive analytics, and subsurface intelligence can enable governments, utilities, and businesses to make smarter, climate-resilient decisions about water and infrastructure. Thought leaders and practitioners will discuss how geospatial insights, combined with hydrogeological and subsurface modeling, can support adaptation strategies that protect communities, secure water supplies, and reduce climate risks.

Proposed Discussion Themes:

1. Water Resilience as Climate Resilience – why water security is foundational to achieving adaptation goals.

2. Digital Twins for Water Systems – enabling real-time risk monitoring and long-term planning for cities and basins.

3. Subsurface Intelligence for Climate Adaptation – understanding groundwater, soil stability, and hidden risks that influence water resilience.

4. Cross-sector Collaboration – how utilities, governments, insurers, and industry can co-create resilience strategies with digital and geoscience insights.
