Neighborhood for the collective action on Cities, Water and Infrastructure
COP30 in Belém marks a historic first: a UN Climate Conference hosted in the Amazon, a region where climate impacts and solutions converge. In response to the Brazilian Presidency’s call for a global mutirão, a collective effort to accelerate climate action, the Neighbourhood of the Mutirão for Cities, Water and Infrastructure comes to life.

This inaugural event will formally launch the Neighbourhood, a 400sqm space composed of 4 pavilions, celebrating its vision and setting the tone for the two weeks of events that will take place in the space during COP30. This event will bring together high-level representatives aligned with the COP30 Presidency Agenda, especially Axis 4: Cities, Infrastructure and Water. By placing people and territories at the center of climate discussions, the neighbourhood aims to generate lasting impacts before, during, and after COP30. Key expected outcomes include:
