Inauguration Ceremony

The event aims at starting to gather public and private sector to encourage multi-actors coalitions in the perspective of a future One Planet Summit on the topic of water.

The proposed side event will put center stage the pivotal Africa Adaptation Initiative - the initiative for Africa, which is driven and coordinated by Africa and which helps implementing solutions adapted to the local context. In particular, the event will launch the AAI’s State of Adaptation in Africa Report.

In lead-up to COP28, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Climate Impact Lab (CIL) are set to unveil an expanded version of the Human Climate Horizons data platform (HCH).
